The Set Down Your Glass series (8/?)
pairing/characters: klaroline, ensemble cast
rating: K - T
half-canon compliant, half wistful AU.
8. buried deep within there’s a human
episode tags: 4.21 (She’s Come Undone)
In that moment, gone is her speed and agility and inhuman reflexes. She is just a girl about to fall into a lake; Caroline imagines the darkness of the water swallowing her up and wonders what it would be like to simply sink down to the bottom and stay there forever.
But Klaus is there.
7. a speck of light can reignite the sun
episode tags: 4.07 (My Brother’s Keeper)
warnings: makes reference to Damon’s treatment of Caroline in season one.
He stand feet apart and arms behind his back, and when he smiles at the sight of her something aches in her chest. She could spend centuries wondering—another time, another place, if he were less murderous and she less bound still by the human qualities of her life—what could they have been?
6. fill to me the parting glass
episode tag: 3.21 (Before Sunset)
Caroline wants to ask him how much has changed between them - it seems somehow as though the tide is suddenly moving sideways and she doesn’t know which way to swim.
But there doesn’t seem to be time for anything other than the weakest “Thank you.”
It’s not enough.
5. it’s not that we’re scared (it’s just that it’s delicate)
episode tag: 3.16 (1912)
Caroline has yet to figure out what exactly allows him past her carefully constructed shields with so little resistance. Why is the truth so easy with him?
4. i’m not a miracle and you’re not a saint
The last thing Caroline expected of tonight was Damon Salvatore’s opinion on her quasi-relationship with the most dangerous being in town. But this is Mystic Falls; it’s a wonder she’s not used to it by now.
3. i see a storm bubbling up from the sea
He presses closer, sliding his free hand up her thigh and pleased at the way their bodies shift together, at the slight hitch of her breath.
“I could make you want me.”
2. i’ll make you a star in my universe
Klaus’s fingers are ghosting patterns of blood over her skin and Caroline wonders what the colour would look like on his canvas.
1. you think your dreams are the same as mine
episode tag: 3.15 (All My Children)
“You want to slow dance.”
Klaus’s apparent delight is just making all of this worse. At Caroline’s obvious hesitance, his lips curve. She’s reminded of a slinking panther. Careful.
“Indulge me.”

[1/4]
The first time she sees Jack, her mother’s been gone for so long that Rapunzel actually thinks she’s imagining him. At first, he’s just a dark shadow against the bright light of the moon. But as Rapunzel looks closer, leaning further over the windows’ edge, she realizes that those graceful, looping arcs are not the work of a moonlit bird as she’d previously thought.
It’s a boy.

Doctor Who
title: be still (and know that I’m with you) (1/1)
pairing: amy/eleven
rating: K
for Christie, inspired by this incredible AU. (sorry about the angst I tried not to but failed)
The entire first day, she’s convinced it’s a dream. Amy is convinced it’s just a dream, brought on by the hysteria and pain of Rory lea- of what happened, so that first day when the TARDIS whirs into their neighbourhood instead of out, the Doctor standing on her step as he had that Christmas - looking too old and too serious, she wants him babbling and bouncing on the balls of his feet, why can’t he be a child for her right now? - she doesn’t say anything. He doesn’t say anything either.
She opens the door a little wider to let him in.
Where you never want to look.
*She let her hands play in the hair of the tragic boy. She was not a little girl heart-broken about him; she was a grown woman smiling at it all, but they were wet smiles - J.M Barrie
